Issue:
A special hatch pattern is required in the drawing, which is not in the ZWCAD.pat file and needs to be customized.
How to define a custom hatch pattern in ZWCAD?
Solution:
ZWCAD hatch pattern is defined by a .pat file. The .pat file is in the ZWCAD installation directory or the ZWCAD folder in the user directory, it can be opened with Notepad.
For example:
The definition format is:
*pattern-name[, description] (Hatch pattern name, Hatch pattern description)
angle, x origin, y origin, delta-x, delta-y, dash-1, dash-2
- pattern-name indicates the hatch pattern name
- description means hatch pattern description (optional)
- angle indicates the angle between the hatch line direction and the horizontal direction
- x-origin, y-origin, represent the origin coordinates of the hatch straight-line
- delta-x, delta-y represent the repeated offset values of the hatch straight line along the x and y directions
- dash-1, dash-2 represent the length of the straight line. Positive numbers indicate drawing a line, and negative numbers mean no line.
The code for the hatch pattern in the picture above is:
*111, 111
30, 0, 0, 0, 1, 0.75, -0.25
