Issue:
I have installed the multilingual version of ZWCAD.
When I double-click a DWG file, it opens in the English version (or another language version) by default.
How can I set a specific language version as the default when opening DWG files?
Solution:
This can be resolved by modifying the Windows Registry.
- Press Win + R to open the Run dialog, type regedit, and click OK to open the Registry Editor.
- Navigate to the following path:
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ZWSOFT\ZWCADM\2026 - Select the 2026 folder, and in the right panel, double-click the CurVer value to modify it.
In the Edit String dialog, change the Value data to the language code you want to set as the default (e.g., en-US for English), then click OK.
The language codes are as follows:
Language Code English en-US Simplified Chinese zh-CN Traditional Chinese zh-TW Czech cs-CZ German de-DE Spanish es-ES French fr-FR Hungarian hu-HU Italian it-IT Japanese ja-JP Korean ko-KR Polish pl-PL Portuguese (Brazil) pt-BR Russian ru-RU Turkish tr-TR - After completing the above steps, double-clicking a DWG file will open it in the language version you set as the default.
